Eerospace – The Name

Although people rarely ask why my business is called Eerospace, I thought I would explain how the business earned its name.

Eero Saarinen is considered one of the masters of American 20th-century architecture. His marble-topped Tulip Table and accompanying chair design are one of the most copied designs in history, as well as featuring in almost every major design collection in museums around the globe.

For me, it is his sweeping, organic architecture that made him my choice as a design icon. His work at the recently refurbished TWA Terminal in New York City brought his design ethos back to life, inspiring a new generation of designers and proving he is still as brilliant as ever.

The structure of the logo was just as important, it doesn’t just represent Eero Saarinen’s role as my design icon. The use of the double E, the three vowels and one consonant work well together to create a visually pleasing design and the the O is also the symbol for Enso.
