Davied is a talented creative designer, with a great understanding of interior architecture and the fundamental elements of good design. Davied is also Eerospace’s director, and his ability to focus on the use of layering materials within a simple but luxurious concept makes him stand out amongst the crowd. Irish by birth but having travelled extensively, he views the world with an international eye.
Davied is an accredited designer with the Society of British and International Interior Designers and a Fellow of the Royal Society. He has decades of experience, and it is this experience that has seen him work all over the world.
Initially trained in fine art, Davied followed this by completing a masters in interior architecture at the Royal College before relocating to Japan to work for the renowned architect Tadao Ando (1989). This was then followed by two years studying Nichiren Buddhism under Daisaku Ikdea. In 1993 Davied returned to Europe to work with the inhouse design team for the French furniture house of LigneRoset. There he worked with a team of creatives and curated the interiors used in the company’s promotional and marketing materials.
In 1997 Davied moved back to London to become the designer director at Charles Page interiors. During this period, he worked with many of Europe’s most prestigious design companies, including Molteni, Minotti, Fendi and Armani Casa, and he created the interiors of many of North London’s most prestigious family homes. His client list included many well-known sports stars, film actors and musicians. His work covered all aspects of high-end interiors, from the interior design and furnishings to overseeing the design of swimming pools, giant fish tanks, wine rooms, panic rooms and exterior landscaping.
After 10 years at Charles Page Davied left London for a year’s sabbatical in Vietnam. During this period, he designed and prototyped furniture for the English designer Julian Chichester. Many of these designs were for the Firmdale Hotel Group where Davied worked with internationally renowned designer Kit Kemp. Since 2010 Davied has worked as a consultant on many interesting and diverse projects, while continuing to travel.
Now Davied is working on a variety of impressive projects, such as the renovation and interior fit out of two apartments in Westminster and a large family property in Rutland Gardens, Knightsbridge. He is also working as a consultant for the Church Commissioners on the renovation programme for their property portfolio in W2, working with the Italian furniture designer and manufacturer Pianca SPA on business development and working with Chinese furniture manufacturer Huihe.
Davied’s varied experience means he is incredibly sought after thanks to his ability to approach design from a unique and interesting perspective.
