Rectory Grove

This Historic grade 2 listed Georgian House became a work of passion as, working with conservation office, we stripped the house back to its bones revealing the classic lathe and plaster wall structure and beams form the finest English Oak. The works where a careful balance of restoring the remaining original features and creating a contemporary home with all the modern conveniences. The house was carefully remodelled using the original foot print of the rooms and yet still creating a grand master suite on the first floor. The master bedroom flowed through to a dressing room with cabinets sourced at a French flea market and then through to the lavish master bathroom. The ground floor contained a formal sitting room where the owner housed his grand piano and then we created a study and gents playroom all decorated in Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Blue. Great attention was spared to bring back period colours and tones all with a contemporary twist.

The house was repointed in lime mortar and this provided a stunning back drop to the gardens. Pleached trees, raised beds, a lawn, Portland stone and a water feature made the rear garden a hide away from busy Clapham. A project delivered on time and on budget.
